School Meals

Fresh, locally sourced food is cooked every day by our highly experienced cook. Many children enjoy our delicious healthy meals every day. We also have regular themed meals throughout the year to which Nursery children may be invited. Dinner money should be brought to school on Mondays or Friday, this is £10.50 per week or £2.10 per day for KS1 & KS2 children.  For nursery children it is £1.60 per day plus £2.00 per day for their care up to 1pm.  Children with special medical or dietary needs can be catered for. We now have our own small, kitchen garden, and the produce grown by the children will be eaten by them when it is harvested!

Some children do bring a packed lunch: we do not allow fizzy drinks or sweets, and ask parents to make sure a healthy balanced meal is provided.  Care for these children is £2.00 per day up to 1pm . Many children are eligible for free school meals; please ask for a leaflet in the office if you would like to apply, (other benefits apply to children who receive free school meals, such as subsidised costs of school trips, including residential trips).

Break Service

The school cook also provides healthy snacks and drinks at break time for 20p per item. including toast, bagels, baguettes and fruit juices.

Healthy Schools

We are working towards accreditation for Healthy Schools. As part of this, children aged 7 and under are provided with fruit for morning break. Older children may bring a piece of fruit from home to eat at break time.
