Admissions

Children can be admitted to the school at any stage in their schooling and from the term after they become three years of age into the nursery. Parents and carers considering sending their child to Weaverthorpe C of E School are most welcome to visit and should make an appointment with Mrs Rachel Ray, the Headteacher. Children are also invited to visit so they may familiarise themselves with the school, their teacher, and their classroom before they enter full time. Details are forwarded to parents and carers regarding these arrangements upon confirmation of a place. Pupils remain at the school until they transfer to secondary education at the age of eleven and during the child’s final year, parents or carers will be requested to select a secondary school of their choice. Should you decide to send your child to Weaverthorpe C of E School a Preference Form must be completed, this can be done online by going onto the link below.

As a Voluntary Controlled school, all our full time admissions are agreed by North Yorkshire County Council, to whom all applications should be made (https://www.northyorks.gov.uk/apply-place-primary-or-secondary-school).
